When can Alexander Technique be helpful?

In an ideal case the technique will be preventative. In the case of existing afflictions, the technique offers possible solutions which support our psycho-physical health.

Alexander Technique is applied to support and promote:

  • inner peace, calmness and poise
  • ability to concentrate

  • coordination of movement and balance
AT supports the healing process and alleviation of pain in cases of

  • tiredness, stress and tension
  • head, neck, shoulder and back pain
  • occasional or chronic pain in the locomotor system
    (rheumatic discomfort such as pain in joints or limbs)
  • Illness or accident, including whiplash injuries and
  • burnout syndrome
For people with anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, AD(H)D, eating disorders, depression etc. AT can have a positive influence thanks to its body centring and grounding elements which work in a stabilising way.
